Manan Singh

I am Manan Singh, a 21-year-old graduate of the O.P. Jindal Global University, where I pursued a B.A. (Hons.) Liberal Arts and Humanities with a major in History. As a youth leader and policy professional, I specialize in areas of education, policy and academic research, curriculum development, organization planning, leading solution-centric dialogues, and historical analysis. 

 

I work as an 'Associate - Partnerships and New Initiatives' at Public Policy India (PPI).

I am the founder of a youth-led organization called YOUNG MINDS, which works to enable youth to be agents of change for their local communities. As a Certified Youth Educator, I am inclined to work with youth from diverse sections of society on empowerment, education, and bringing their voice forward. For my efforts, I was recognized as one of the 100 Youth SDG Action Ambassadors at the Global Goals Summit 2025.

Born in Lucknow, I have been volunteering since early childhood. As a young changemaker and public policy enthusiast, I have both the passion and professional background necessary to create a positive impact in society. With experience in policy research, advocacy, and community organizing, I envision an exciting future in the policy and social impact sector. Education and Education policy is where my interest lies. In my undergraduate thesis, I studied school education policies in colonial India and attempted to juxtapose the perspectives of Sir Thomas Macaulay (Macaulay Minutes on Education 1835) and Sir John Sargent (Sargent Plan 1944).

My experience includes working at NITI Aayog and the offices of Members of Parliament Shri Sujeet Kumar and Shri Konda Vishweshwar Reddy. I have briefly worked as a research assistant under a Professor at the London School of Economics.

My work has been recognized both nationally and internationally and has been featured by various organizations and invited to podcasts and seminars. As someone who attempts to link research and practice, I have worked on several research projects and published a number of research papers and articles, along with presenting a few others at various reputed research conferences.
